Where does my display name get shown?
When you register for a Furnishful account, we ask you to create a display name (if you want to change this later on, see changing your display name here). If you then create a board and make it public, your board will appear at www.furnishful.co.uk/inspiration and your display name will appear beside it.

How do I change my display name?
When logged in, you can change your display name by visiting this page. Your new display name needs to be unique (i.e. not already taken by another member).

How many times can I change my display name?
You can change your display name a maximum of three times, so please choose carefully! This limit is for security purposes and to make sure we keep Furnishful running quickly.

How do I change my profile picture?
You can change your profile picture here. Just click on the image, upload a new one, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the 'Update' button.

If I create a profile description where does it get shown?
If you choose to create a profile description and then create a public board, your board will appear at www.furnishful.co.uk/inspiration. Your public address URL (details of which can be found here) will then become live. It will hold all of your public boards and your profile description will be shown here.

Will my first name and last name be shown publicly?
No, we won't show your first name and last name on the public part of the site, only your display name. However, please note that when you first create an account with us, we automatically create a display name for you which is taken from the first and last name you entered - so you may wish to change this during registration - or at a later date by following the instructions here.

Will my gender and date of birth be shown on the site?
No, we won't display this information for other users to see. We collect these details only to get a better understanding of who is using Furnishful. Furthermore, you don't have to give us this information (although we always appreciate it if you do!). To view or change these details, visit this page.

How do I create a new board?
When you see an item you like (either in the shop or on someone else's board), you can click the 'plus' icon or 'Add to Board' button if you are on the product page itself. The 'Add to Board' pop-up appears and from here you can then add the item to an existing board, or create a new board to add it to.
Alternatively if you are in the My Boards section of the site here, you will see a 'Click here to add a new board' prompt.

How do I delete a board?
In the My Boards section of the site here, click into the relevant board and click on the waste bin icon to delete the board.

How do I add an item to a board?
There are two ways to add an item to a board. Whilst you are browsing the shop area of the site or when you are viewing someone else's board, use the 'plus' icon or the 'Add to Board' button on the item you like, then in the 'Add to Board' pop-up, click 'Add' next to the board you want to add the item to.
Alternatively, if you are in the My Boards section of the site here, you can navigate to an individual board where you will see a 'Click here to add an item to your board' prompt. Select which category you want to select an item from and that will take you into the relevant shop category, where you can follow the above steps to add an item to your board.

How do I remove an item from a board?
In the My Boards section of the site here, click into the relevant board. At the bottom of each item on your board, you will see a 'cross' icon . Click this to remove the item from your board.

How do I increase the quantity of a particular item on my board?
In the My Boards section of the site here, click into the relevant board. Under each item image, there is a quantity dropdown which can be edited. If you increase or decrease a quantity it will also be reflected in the total cost of your items. Please note: if you share this board publicly, only one of each item will show in the Inspiration Boards section.

How do I like a board?
Click on the heart icon of the board you want to like. Please note though that you cannot like your own board.

How do I change a board from private to public or vice versa?
When you first create a board, you can assign it as private or public (n.b. by default a board is assigned as private unless you choose to make it public). Once created, you can change the status of the board by going to My Boards here, clicking into the board you want to change and then clicking the edit board pencil icon. There you can select private or public. Please note: if you change a board from public to private you will lose any 'likes' you have for that board - you can still make it public again, but you will start with zero likes.

I made my board public but I can't see it in the public Inspiration Boards section. Why not?
A board must contain at least five items before it will show up in the public Inspiration Boards section of the site, here. Once you have added five items, provided you have selected the public option, the board will appear in the Inspiration Boards section.

How do I change a board name?
After you have created a board, you can change the board name up to four times (this limit helps us to keep Furnishful running quickly). Go to My Boards here, click into the board you want to change and then click the edit board pencil icon. Change the name of the board and click OK.

How do I change the category of a board?
In the My Boards section of the site here, click into the relevant board and then click the edit board pencil icon - there you will see the category drop down. Select the new category and click OK.

Where can I add or edit a board description?
In the My Boards section of the site here, click into the relevant board and then click the edit board pencil icon - there you will see the board description field. Once you have created or edited the description, click OK.
